01 / Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Satchel, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app or website. If you use Satchel on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
02 / The service
Satchel is a travel journaling application and related website that help you record, organise, and revisit personal travel memories. Features may change as the app develops. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Important: Satchel is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a navigation, emergency, transportation, booking, medical, or safety service. Do not rely on it for time-sensitive or safety-critical information.
03 / Your content
You retain ownership of the text, photos, locations, and other materials you add to Satchel (“Your Content”). You are responsible for Your Content, including keeping backups of anything important and making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to store or share it.
To operate Satchel, you give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, disputes, or backups.
04 / Acceptable use
You may not use Satchel to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others. You must not misrepresent your identity or use Satchel to collect sensitive information about people without a lawful basis and appropriate permission.
05 / Ownership
Satchel, including its software, name, logo, visual design, and documentation, is owned by Satchel or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for your own lawful purposes. No rights are granted except as expressly stated here.
06 / Availability and liability
Satchel is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available, or compatible with every device or operating system. Keep independent copies of important travel records.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Satchel and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
